Operations & Systems Consulting

Find your
direction.

I help small businesses and nonprofits figure out why their operations are harder than they should be — and then help them find a direction forward. Most people know something's off. They just can't tell you exactly what.

Good Fit For

Sound familiar?

If any of that sounds like you, we should talk. And if what you're after is a thick deck of recommendations from a big firm, I'm probably not your consultant — I build working systems with the people who use them.

What I Do

Operations that actually work.

I come in and ask a lot of questions first. A fresh set of eyes cuts through the noise in ways that are hard to do from the inside.

01
Find what's missing

A clear-eyed look at how your business actually runs — where time disappears, where things fall through the cracks, and what it's actually costing you. You'll have a clear picture of where you are and what's possible before we talk about next steps.

02
Build something that works

Better processes, cleaner workflows, tools that talk to each other. Built for your team, not a template. Sometimes that's a CRM. Sometimes it's a handful of SOPs and a clear handoff process. Whatever the right answer is, we build that.

03
Make sure it actually sticks

A plan that no one uses isn't a plan. I stay close through rollout, handle the sharp edges, and make sure the people doing the work can actually use what we built — without needing a manual to do it.

04
Put AI to work for you

AI tools can genuinely take repetitive, time-consuming work off your plate — if they're set up right for how your business actually operates. I help you identify where AI can make a real difference and build a practical AI operating system tailored to your team, so the right tasks run themselves and your people focus on work that actually needs them.

How It Works

Understand first. Build right.

No recommendations before the questions are answered. That's not how good work happens.

Phase 01
Listen and map

We start by mapping what's actually happening — not what the org chart says, and not what the software log shows. Interviews, walkthroughs, and a lot of careful questions.

Phase 02
Find the real problem

Most operational pain has one or two root causes. We identify those specifically, explain them plainly, and agree on what success looks like before anything is built.

Phase 03
Build and hand off

The deliverable fits the problem — sometimes a process redesign, sometimes a system build, sometimes a clear set of decisions. Always something your team can own after I'm gone.

You don't need to know which phase you need. Figuring that out is the job.

Small business & nonprofits

I've spent more than a decade in Salesforce architecture and operations — building systems that actually get used, fixing ones that don't, and figuring out why simple processes keep falling apart at the seams. Most of that time was in enterprise software, working alongside small businesses and nonprofits who needed someone to think through the hard parts with them, not just hand them a solution.

Kirkworks is how I do that work directly. No big firm overhead, no junior staff running your engagement. You get me — asking a lot of questions, explaining things plainly, and being honest about what will and won't work for your situation specifically.

Outside of work, I live in Pataskala, Ohio with my wife Abigail and our five kids. We're rooted here — involved in the community, connected to the people around us. That matters to me when I'm working with local businesses and organizations. I'm not parachuting in from somewhere else. I'm your neighbor.

If you already know what you need built, I can probably build it. If you're not sure where to start, that's where I'm most useful.
